Last year there was a boom with the name of Cuil whose founders were two ex-Googlers made huge noise when it launched its search engine with the claim of having the largest search index in the world?
The result was a huge initial traffic spike. But when it didn’t “beat Google (Google),” its traffic dropped like a whale being thrown out of an airplane.

Google is testing new features for its Chrome browser. Chrome for Mac is still missing, although available if you are adventurous and install Chromium, the open-source project for Google Chrome.
Chromium has beta and development features that Google is testing before adding to the Chrome browser.

After the launch .com, .net, .org, .asia, .travel, etc now Dot Eco is pursuing a new domain name as .eco.
The organization has partnered with former Vice President Al Gore, the Sierra Club, and a number of other notably green personalities and organizations to create awareness for their .eco environmental initiative. The domain’s differentiating factor is that 50% of profits generated by domain registrations will be donated to non-profits and environmental causes.

After a half dozen attempts now apple has finally got the route towards its modern day reincarnation of its beloved-but-defunct Newton MessagePad.
The 10-inch, 3G-enabled tablet, akin to a jumbo iPod touch, is the latest brainchild of chief executive Steve Jobs. That distinction, as insiders will tell you, carries its share of baggage. Under the critical eye of Jobs, contours must be precise, each pixel of the interface has to match a particular vision, and there can be no fault — no matter how slight — or it’s back to the drawing board.

After nine months of launch of Google Chrome Browser with 30 million users worldwide. Now google plans to introduce its Operating System named Google Chrome OS. According to Google its an natural extension of the operating System.
It is an open source project, lightweight operating systems that will be initially set the market in for netbooks. Later this year Google has plan to open the source code of its operating system and it will be available for consumers in netbooks in the second half of 2010.
